As you may know, Matt and I are going to be transfered back to Utah. What you may not know is how it happened. Here is our story.
Since we started dating, we always put our trust in the Lord, and followed his promptings. Every decision that we make, big or small, we go to our heavenly Father in prayer, and asked for his guidance in knowing what decisions to make. When Matt was getting out of the Army eight and a half years ago, we decided to move to Arizona. We had family and friends there, and they were willing to help us. We prayed about it, and the answer came that we were to go to Maryland. At the time, we were thinking, "what the heck? WHY would we do that?" But we didn't question it, and just did. In doing so, we were blessed to have a series of events happen, that led to my husband working for the government, in a job he loved. Without us following the spirit's promptings, we wouldn't be where we are today.
About a year ago, Matt applied for a job working in the Department of Justice. After an extensive interview process, he was offered two jobs. One in Salt Lake, as a GS7, and the other in Sacramento as a GS12. After fasting and praying, we were prompted to take the job in Sacramento, CA. It wasnt what we wanted to do, we wanted to stay in Utah with both our families, and friends. But we put our trust in the lord, and went, not knowing when we would be back. We knew that after a year of being here we could get put in to be transfered back, but we would still be gone for about a year and a half. Matt has worked hard, and opportunities arose though prayer, that have lead him to be transfered to a position in Salt lake City, as a GS13, and doing what he loves doing.
We are so gratefull to our heavenly Father who loves us and continues to bless our lives each day. We are thankfull to him for guiding us to become the people we are today. We are so gratefull to be members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and for the blessings the gospel gives us. We know that the lord truly has a plan for each of us, and we will be blessed for following his guidance.
